NGSS and Technology in collaboration with USC Young Scientists Program

USC Young Scientists Program (YSP) STEM Programs Manager for the USC Joint Educational Project, Dieuwertje "DJ" Kast worked with Norwood to provide a workshop for our parents/guardians and community members on the integration of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Technology.  USC YSP program provides our participating 3rd-5th Grade classes with USC students (YSP TAs) that teach hands on science to our students.  The purpose of this workshop was to bridge the gap between home and school by building parents' understanding of the Science and Technology Standards and what students are expected to do.  Parents participated in exploring multiple stations that integrated Science and Technology.  We are grateful to our partnership with USC in order to provide an enriching, hands on learning experience to our parents.  Thank you DJ Kast and USC YSP!!!
