Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:
 
I welcome you to sixth grade. I have attached my course syllabus for your review. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Our classroom constitution is very important because it will allow to establish a safe learning community in my students' milieu, and most importantly develop the necessary etiquette for college-and-career-ready skills. It serves as a reminder of what we agreed to illustrate in the entire school year. 

R.A.C.E. STRATEGY

When answering questions in a sophisticated manner, you ought to use the acronym R.A.C.E. to remember to respond to a question constructively. 

Restate the question.
Answer the question.
Cite evidence. 
Explain/Extend your answer.
